i) Bengali: Aggregate of Best 4 subjects +% Marks in Bengali
ii) English: Aggregate of Best 4 subjects +4×% Marks in English
iii) Hindi: Aggregate of Best 4 subjects +% Marks in Hindi
iv) History: Aggregate of Best 4 subjects + 2×% Marks in History or 2×% Marks in English (if History is not studied then consider % Marks in English)
v) Political Science: Aggregate of Best 4 subjects+2×% Marks in Pol. Sc. or2× % Marks in English (if Pol. Sc. is not studied then consider % Marks in English)
vi) Philosophy: Aggregate of Best 4 subjects+% Marks in Philosophy or % Marks in Bengali/Hindi (if Philosophy is not studied then consider % Marks in Bengali/ Hindi) + 2×% Marks in English
vii) Journalism and Mass Communication: Aggregate of Best 4 subjects+2×% Marks in English+2×% Marks in either Bengali or Hindi (in case of such candidates who have one language subject that will be treated as second also)
viii) Physics: Aggregate of Best 4 subjects+4×% Marks in Mathematics
