Maharaja Manindra Chandra College, located at the heart of the city of Kolkata , has established a separate identity of its own since its very inception,  1941,  as a centre of higher education commited for imparting quality education to the students of the city and its suburbs.
It is needless to say that presently our country is  passing through a period of hardships and uncertainty and consequently,  the parents and the guardians are too anxious about the future of their wards. Still,  the reality always advises us to keep our hope alive. In  the era of acute competition students have to prepare themselves to overcome the hurdles and achieve their desired goals.
We know that every student has some potentials there is no alternative of education and  expertise. Therefore,  our task is extract the potentials of our students and covert them into an ideal citizen capable to face the challenges of their own life.
In our college,  we offer different undergraduate courses in such a manner that the students can acquire a basic knowledge,  skill, expertise and capability to fulfill their prime economic and psychological needs and equip themselves with the basic human qualities,  like ethical values, aesthetic sense,  social responsibility and awareness,  creativity,  openness of mind,  honesty,  truthfulness and love for others. Our college also organises NSS Programme on regular basis for physical and mental fitness of the students and to raise a sense of love within themselves for the nation.
The teaching faculty and the supporting staff of our college have always dedicated themselves to the sustenance of a sound and healthy academic atmosphere which can help the students reach their goals. We hope that like previous years the teachers,  students and the guardians will spread their hands of cooperation towards the success of our mission,  specifically,  to maintain the sanctity of our institution and a peaceful environment in and around our college premises.  Cordial cooperation from the end of parents and  guardians are always too valuable to us.
I convey warm welcome to all the students opted to take admission in our esteemed institution during this session.
